Welcome and congratulations on your participation in the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020! Just in case you are hearing of the International Testing Agency (ITA) for the first time, please allow us to introduce ourselves:
The ITA is an international not-for-profit organisation and our mission is to manage anti-doping programs, independent from sporting or political powers, for any organisation requesting our support. We are a fair, transparent and intelligence-led organisation that has the welfare of athletes and integrity of sporting events at our core.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has handed over the entire anti-doping program to the ITA so that it can be managed independently by dedicated experts who carry their know-how from one edition of the Games over to another.
In short: we are leading the anti-doping program in Tokyo!
Complying with anti-doping rules is a big responsibility for athletes. You train hard and you train to win. Your reputation matters and you want your hard work to be recognised. While you, as an Olympian, are probably familiar with the doping control process, it is important that the latest anti-doping information is easily accessible to you. This is why we created this page to provide you with key reminders and links to useful resources related to the Tokyo 2020 anti-doping program.
We wish you the best of luck and fair competitions at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
