The ITA was responsible for delivering the anti-doping program for this event and collaborated with the Birmingham Organising Committee (BOC) for the on-site sample collection operations and connected logistical activities. For this purpose, the ITA supported the BOC in establishing a dedicated anti-doping function and liaised closely with this function to implement the anti-doping program of The World Games 2022. The ITA collaborated with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency for the delivery of the anti-doping operations in Birmingham.
The ITA and USADA also partnered up for World Games on-site education activities to ensure that the events’ anti-doping program was accompanied by an opportunity for athletes to get informed about the testing process and how to protect themselves from doping.
