The Tug of War International Federation (TWIF) is the world governing body for the sport of tug of war. TWIF’s Primary Objective is to attain a sufficiently high level of excellence and universality to expedite its acceptance by the International Olympic Committee as a sport within the program of the Olympic Games, a status held by the sport in the early years of the 20th century.
