The new partnership agreement extends the existing testing collaboration agreement and aims to strengthen the collaboration between the two parties in a wide range of tasks, including results management, education, research, international Doping Control Officer training and other clean sport activities.
The objective of the agreement is to enhance the collaboration between the program areas of both organizations, to further contribute to the protection of athletes and to support the clean sport community.
“The excellent cooperation between the ITA and JADA in the implementation of the anti-doping programme for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games now transcends into a sustainable partnership for the future with this extended collaboration agreement,” says Dr Valérie Fourneyron, Chair of the ITA Foundation Board. “We are looking forward to continuing our dedicated work for clean sport together with JADA for Japanese athletes, doping control operations in Japan and projects with international reach.”
“We have already worked successfully with the ITA on a number of occasions including Tokyo2020 Pre-Games Expert Group before the Games and TOKYO2020 Olympic Games testing program under ITA’s leadership.” says Prof. AKAMA Takao, JADA Chair.
“JADA looks forward to further strengthening co-operation with ITA.
I hope that our firm commitment will empower all sectors of our program and provide more power to promote clean sport in Japan and beyond.”
