The 2022 series will bring new, fresh content to the sport community and will feature a mix of high-performance athletes and anti-doping experts. The objective of the ITA public webinar series is to offer easy access to high-quality education on anti-doping, to continue transparent, engaging and challenging discussions about clean sport and to empower the audiences with effective tools and key information. This important initiative is realised with the support of Informed Sport, a global testing and certification program for sports supplements.
The webinars will continue to be delivered in English with simultaneous translation to four additional languages: Arabic, French, Russian and Spanish. Registration is always free and open to the public.
“The ITA webinar series demystifies anti-doping and the interactive nature allows attendees to engage with expert presenters who cover a variety of topics and themes”, says Marc Mundell, a three-time Olympian in the sport of athletics. “I shared my Olympic journey during the ITA webinar pilot series in 2020, prior to joining the ITA team as an ambassador. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my story and I look forward to delivering more educational events this year. Whilst the pandemic continues to cause havoc in the sporting community, it is important to stay healthy, stay connected and advocate for clean sport.”
Supporting this initiative is Informed Sport, a certification program for sports supplements, making sure that athletes do not ingest substances that are listed on the World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA’s) Prohibited List. The ITA entered a collaboration with Informed Sport in 2021 to ensure professional delivery of the webinars in multiple languages and with a common goal of reducing access barriers to high-quality anti-doping education.
“This is the second year we have partnered with the ITA, and Informed Sport is very pleased to be sponsoring the webinar series once again,” said Terence O’Rorke, LGC Business Development Manager, EMEA APAC.
“Informed Sport provides the highest levels of protection for athletes who wish to use sports nutrition and sports supplements, and it is extremely important that athletes receive the right guidance on the safe use of supplements. Partnering with the ITA helps our mutual efforts of educating athletes and their support personnel.”
If you want to be a part of the clean sport movement, learn how to protect yourself and those around you from doping and gain a better understanding of the anti-doping system, then join the growing number of athletes and other members of the global sport community from all around the world who tune in the ITA monthly webinar series.

ABOUT INFORMED SPORT
Informed Sport is a global testing and certification program designed to ensure that sports supplements products are not contaminated with substances banned in sport by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
Established in 2008 with the support of UK Anti-Doping and Dutch Dopingautoriteit, Informed Sport requires every batch of a certified product to be tested pre-release to market. Products must pass a robust assessment of ingredients, formulation and manufacturing in order to become certified, thereby offering the highest level of protection for athletes using supplements.
Informed Sport is managed by international life sciences company LGC, which tests supplements products at its ISO 17025-accredited laboratories in the UK (near Cambridge) and the US (in Lexington). LGC has a range of testing services for sports supplements, animal sports and humans, and was the official testing laboratory for animal sports at the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games.
