As part of its ongoing efforts to foster collaboration with national and regional anti-doping partners around the world, the ITA has formalised a partnership with ALAD, Luxembourg’s national anti-doping agency. The agreement focuses on aligning testing operations, improving the exchange of intelligence, and supporting joint initiatives that enhance the effectiveness and reach of anti-doping strategies. This collaboration will also strengthen the testing of international-level athletes competing in Luxembourg and support the targeted testing of Luxembourgish athletes wherever they compete globally.
ALAD is responsible for implementing Luxembourg’s anti-doping policies and ensuring the integrity of sport within the country through prevention, education, and investigative activities. By entering into this agreement, both organisations commit to closer coordination and the development of shared programs that reinforce the effectiveness of doping controls.
“This collaboration reflects our strong belief in the value of working together with national anti-doping organisations to deliver better, smarter anti-doping efforts,” said Benjamin Cohen, Director General of the ITA. “ALAD brings important local insight and dedication to the fight for clean sport. We’re pleased to deepen our relationship with them through this agreement.”
Loïc Hoscheit, Director of ALAD, echoed the sentiment: “We are proud to partner with the ITA and look forward to benefiting from its international reach and expertise. This agreement will enable us to optimise our resources and enhance our contribution to clean sport on both the national and global stage.”
The ITA has developed a growing network of bilateral collaboration agreements with close to 40 National and Regional Anti-Doping Organisations, helping to build a more unified and proactive anti-doping community. Through these partnerships, the ITA aims to improve the consistency, efficiency, and impact of anti-doping programs worldwide.
