The Burkina Faso National Anti-Doping Organisation (NADO) and the International Testing Agency (ITA) hosted a hybrid clean sport session to athletes on 16 December 2023 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. The clean sport session was part of the annual Athletes Forum, organized by the Burkina Faso (BUR) Athletes Commission and BUR National Olympic Committee, and in partnership with Ringo Club, a BUR sport and study foundation. The ITA was represented by Education Officer, Dilhan Karaç.
Angelika Ouedraogo, BUR Athletes Commission Chair, and London 2012 Olympian (swimming), Dilhan Karaç, ITA Education Officer, and Dr. Ibrahim Séré, BUR NADO President and ORAD Zone 2 and 3 General Secretary at the clean sport hybrid session in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
Dilhan outlined the anti-doping landscape and presented practical case scenarios. Athletes were also shown how and where they could access additional clean sport resources, supporting athletes to contribute to the BUR Athletes Commission’s objectives of encouraging athletes to become leaders and to engage in clean sport.

BUR NADO President, Dr. Ibrahim Séré, presented their mission, from an education, testing and legal perspective and reminded athletes of the support available to them. The session ended with athletes using this opportunity to have their clean sport questions answered.
