In this webinar featuring Camille Cheng, a three-time Olympic swimmer and seven-time Asian Games medallist from Hong Kong and an IOC Mental Health Ambassador, we delved into the topic of mental health in sport.
A 2022 vulnerabilities report published by the World Anti-Doping Agency infers that athletes experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, or other mental health challenges may be more susceptible to doping as a way to cope with pressure, meet expectations, or achieve goals – especially if they lack healthy coping mechanisms.
Camille shared her experiences of mental health in relation to and beyond her sporting journey, providing valuable insights and advice for athletes and their support teams. There were also an opportunity for a live Q&A.
As always, we are pleased to deliver these webinars in English with simultaneous translation to four additional languages – Arabic (العربية), French (français), Russian (русский) and Spanish (español).
