Monthly webinar – Medical Professionals’ Role in Clean Sport

Medical professionals play a key part in supporting athletes and must understand the anti-doping landscape and their accompanying responsibilities within this.

In this introductory session we discussed the role of medical professionals in protecting clean sport and covered key topics to help them effectively support their athletes, including:

• The Prohibited List
• Therapeutic Use Exemptions
• The role of team physicians at events

We were pleased to welcome three expert panellists to the session: Dr Lucienne Attard, member of the ITA’s Therapeutic Use Exemption Panel, Dr Carole Okoth, member of the ITA’s Health & Clinical Expert Advisory Group and Dr Mark Stuart, the ITA’s Drugs, Health & Development Senior Manager.
