Clean sport is a shared responsibility. Trust, psychological safety and athlete voice all play an important role in shaping sporting environments where individuals feel heard, supported and empowered to raise questions, seek guidance and contribute to a culture of integrity.
In this panel discussion, Kelsey Erickson, Senior Director, Athlete Services, Safe Sport & Compliance at USA Cycling; Cleopatra Borel, OLY, 4x Olympian for Trinidad and Tobago and Assistant Coach at Virginia Tech; and Guillermo Martinez, ITA Intelligence & Investigations Officer, will bring perspectives from athlete support & research, athlete representation and intelligence & investigations. Together, they will explore how trust is built, why individuals may hesitate to raise concerns or challenge behaviours that do not feel right, and the factors that help create positive and supportive sporting environments.
Drawing on their professional expertise and lived experiences, panellists will share practical examples and insights on the role of Athletes, Athlete Support Personnel, and sport organisations that can help strengthen integrity in sport.
As always, we are pleased to deliver these webinars in English with simultaneous translation to four additional languages – Arabic (العربية), French (français), Russian (русский) and Spanish (español).
