The ITA and the Fédération Internationale de Teqball (FITEQ) strengthened their collaboration by delivering impactful clean sport education at the 2024 World Teqball Championships in Ho Chi Minh City.
On December 3, ITA Education Ambassador Anita Hartung engaged participants with a dynamic presentation featuring real-life examples, interactive activities, and practical tools to help athletes and their support teams effectively navigate anti-doping rules.
Anita emphasised the importance of checking medications and supplements and highlighted the 11 Anti-Doping Rule Violations (ADRVs) that also apply to the Teqball community. Interactive games like the “Facts or Myth” activity made the experience engaging for attendees while reinforcing key lessons on clean sport.
The event’s education activities involved a clean sport education booth set up at the venue entrance the next day, where athletes and athlete support personnel could ask questions, receive educational and informational materials in several languages and explore the topic further. Inspired by the presentation, many participants visited the booth to learn more. The collaboration between the ITA, FITEQ and the Vietnam Anti-Doping Centre (VADC) at the booth reflects their shared commitment to clean competition.
