The ITA acknowledges IWF Independent Member Federation Sanctioning Panel’s decisions on three Member Federations

INTERNATIONAL WEIGHTLIFTING FEDERATION (IWF) MEMBER FEDERATIONS FROM UKRAINE, TURKEY AND TURKMENISTAN HAVE EACH BEEN CONFIRMED TO HAVE VIOLATED ARTICLE 12 OF THE IWF ANTI-DOPING RULES AND HAVE BEEN SANCTIONED ACCORDINGLY BY THE IWF INDEPENDENT MEMBER FEDERATION SANCTIONING PANEL.

¹ According to Article 12.3 of the IWF ADR and provisions of the IWF OQS, Member Federations can be suspended, fined and/or have other rights withdrawn (including quotas for participating in the Olympic Games) when three or more athletes, officials or athlete support personnel of the Member Federation are found to have committed ADRVs within a 12-month period.
² The fourth athlete was a Protected Person at the time of committing the ADRV and hence their identity is not disclosed.
