As two key stakeholders in the anti-doping landscape, iNADO serves the interests of National Anti-Doping Organizations (NADOs) and Regional Anti-Doping Organizations (RADOs), while the ITA delivers independent anti-doping programs for International Federations (IFs) and Major Event Organizers. Both organizations share a common goal of doping-free and fair sport and recognize the importance of collaboration in enhancing the effectiveness of anti-doping frameworks.
The newly signed MoU aims to identify common interests, foster the exchange of expertise, and jointly explore solutions to optimize regulatory and operational frameworks. Specifically, the collaboration will focus on:
“Protecting clean sport is a global mission that requires trust, coordination and meaningful cooperation across all levels of the anti-doping landscape”, says ITA Director General Benjamin Cohen. “The formalisation of our collaboration with iNADO through this Memorandum of Understanding marks an important step in strengthening the ties between international and national anti-doping efforts. By fostering exchange, sharing best practices and supporting each other’s capacities, we enhance our collective ability to serve athletes and sport with integrity and transparency. Only by working together—across borders, disciplines and organisational structures—can we ensure an effective and harmonised response to the challenges we face in anti-doping today.”
“The partnership between iNADO and the ITA marks a significant step forward under the strategic priorities of iNADO”, says iNADO CEO Peter Van de Vliet. “Both parties are committed to sharing excellent anti-doping practices, empowering NADOs, International Federations, and Major Event Organizers to strengthen collaborations, and advocating for a stronger anti-doping ecosystem. Joining iNADO with a background of engagement in the Sport Movement, I highly value collaboration and dialogue across the spectrum of Anti-Doping Organizations that support the Guiding Principles for the Future of Anti-Doping.”
Through this MoU, iNADO and the ITA reaffirm their dedication to protecting clean athletes and upholding the integrity of sport by strengthening global anti-doping measures. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to enhance efficiency, transparency, and best practices within the anti-doping community.
