Changing the philosophy to protect athletes: The ITA celebrates 5 years of Keeping Sport Real

The International Testing Agency (ITA), launched in July 2018, celebrates the five-year mark of its existence. Born out of the desire for a united approach to keeping sport clean, the young organisation has delivered many important milestones in its first half-decade of existence, including the successful implementation of the anti-doping programs for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 and Beijing 2022. Since its start, the ITA could rally over 60 partners from International Federations and Major Event Organisers behind the idea of independent, expert-led anti-doping endeavours. Equipped with five years of expertise and over 100 dedicated anti-doping experts, the ITA is ready to diligently continue protecting athletes' well-being true to its values of excellence, integrity, equality and independence.
