This short online course is only available to Anti-Doping Organisations delivering testing at sporting events, for the purpose of training volunteer or other workforce. It is delivered in English and takes around 1 hour to complete. Participants will receive an ITA certificate of completion.
This training course aims to provide athletes of the world the guarantee that wherever they are tested and whatever sport they compete in, the doping controls they are subject to are conducted safely, respectfully and with trained professionals in accordance with the World Anti-Doping Code and international best practice.
A Chaperone is an official who is trained and authorised by an Anti-Doping Organisation (ADO) to carry out specific duties including notification of the athlete selected for sample collection, accompanying and observing the athlete until arrival at the doping control station, and/or witnessing and verifying the provision of the sample where the training qualifies them to do so.
