The International Testing Agency (ITA) has been entrusted by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) with the development and independent implementation of the anti-doping program for the Asian Games Aichi–Nagoya 2026, in cooperation with the OCA, the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games Organising Committee (AINAGOC) and the Japan Anti-Doping Agency (JADA).
The ITA’s responsibilities cover the planning and delivery of a comprehensive anti-doping program before and during the Games. This includes developing the Games-specific risk assessment and Test Distribution Plan, managing the pre-Games testing program, overseeing In-Competition and Out-of-Competition testing, administering the Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) process, supporting intelligence and investigations activities, implementing long-term sample storage and reanalysis strategies, and supporting results management for any potential anti-doping rule violations arising under the OCA’s jurisdiction.
The ITA also supports the readiness of doping control operations, including procedures, facilities, IT systems and ADAMS-related arrangements, and manages the implementation of the OCA Needle Policy in cooperation with the OCA Medical Committee.
Throughout the Games, the ITA will deploy a team of anti-doping experts on site to oversee the program, monitor compliance, support operational decision-making and work closely with the relevant Games stakeholders to help protect the integrity of competition.
