FIBA, the International Basketball Federation, is the world governing body for basketball. FIBA’s 3×3 discipline is considered one of the world’s most played urban team sports. The first official 3×3 event took place in 2010 at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. Since then, the basketball discipline has gained popularity and has been further professionalised by FIBA. More recently, 3×3 was introduced as an Olympic sport and made its debut at Tokyo 2020.
