THE ITA SUPPORTED THE IMPLEMENTATION OF AN INDEPENDENT ANTI-DOPING PROGRAM FOR THE BUENOS AIRES 2018 YOUTH OLYMPIC GAMES (YOG) ON BEHALF OF THE INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE (IOC).
The ITA, in collaboration with the IOC and the Buenos Aires Organising Committee of the YOG (BAYOGOC), prepared, implemented and supervised the anti-doping program for the event.
The following fields of responsibility were taken on by the ITA:
- Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs)
- Testing (including risk assessment, development of a Test Distribution Plan (TDP), supervision of the testing activities implemented by the BAYOGOC, issue tracking)
- Results Management (including the review of any type of findings, handling the notification process, coordination of further sample analysis, case prosecution)
