As a non-profit foundation recently founded in Lausanne, the ITA has been built around a solid core of scientific, technical, legal and administrative skills. In this context, speaking of a young and dynamic atmosphere is not just a rhetorical formula, but a real commitment. Today, we are proud to employ dedicated staff with unique profiles from all over the world. The ITA aims to provide a healthy and motivating working environment in which talent can develop.
The ITA is committed to creating equal opportunities for its staff with zero tolerance regarding gender-based discrimination. We practice an equal pay policy in line with the methodology and principles of the Equal Pay Foundation.
Doping Control Officers (DCOs) and Blood Collection Officers (BCOs) are responsible for the urine and blood sample collection from athletes as part of an anti-doping program managed by the International Testing Agency. The DCOs and BCOs may be involved in Out-of-Competition sample collection or In-Competition delivering the testing program at international events.
Currently, the ITA is only accepting expressions of interest from independent and experienced BCOs who wish to carry out testing on behalf of the ITA. Applicants may submit an application via the dedicated form to be found in the BCO section below.
Blood Collection Officers (BCOs) are professionally trained, qualified and experienced phlebotomists. BCOs are required to collect blood samples in accordance with WADA’s International Standard for Testing and Investigations (ISTI). This involves collaborating with a Doping Control Officer on testing missions to collect blood samples from athletes and ensuring the correct aftercare procedures are conducted.
