Public Call for Candidatures: Members of the ITA Ethics Panel
The ITA is an international organization constituted as an independent not-for-profit Swiss foundation, located in Lausanne (Switzerland). It provides anti-doping services to International Sports Federations (IFs), Major Event Organizers (MEOs) and Anti-Doping Organizations (ADOs) that wish to delegate their anti-doping programmes to a body that implements high quality anti-doping programs with increased transparency and independence. The ITA operates in full compliance with the World Anti-Doping Code.
Recognizing the critical importance of upholding ethical standards in all its operations, the ITA adopted the ITA Code of Ethics, outlining principles and regulations governing ethical conduct within the organization, thus further reinforcing its commitment to integrity and accountability in all ITA’s activities.
About the ITA Ethics Panel:
The ITA is establishing an Ethics Panel which shall be composed of one independent Chair and up to four independent Members. The Ethics Panel serves as an operationally independent body responsible to deal with alleged violations of the ITA Code of Ethics, adjudicating ethical disciplinary proceedings under the ITA Code of Ethics, providing guidance on ethical matters, and promoting a culture of integrity and accountability.
In accordance with clause 5.2 of the ITA Code of Ethics, Members shall be appointed based on their experience and expertise, including legal, sports, law enforcement, or ethics backgrounds. Members of the Panel are appointed for up to 3 renewable terms of 2 years.

Time Commitment:
The Ethics Panel shall meet as often as necessary via videoconference or in-person as needed. The time commitment required of Members is moderate, varying depending on the volume, frequency, and complexity of cases to be adjudicated under the ITA Code of Ethics.
Compensation:
The ITA is a not-for-profit foundation and the compensation structure reflects such nature, in accordance with the ITA Indemnity and Compensation Policy.
Members of the Panel receive a per diem when entrusted on a case or convened to discuss a matter, as detailed in the ITA Ethics Panel Terms of Reference. Expenses incurred with respect to the Panel’s meetings or activities are covered by the ITA.

Reporting to a Senior Legal Counsel, the Junior Legal Counsel will support the legal team with corporate and governance matters. He/She will notably bring in their sound interest and knowledge in contractual law as well as great drafting skills.

Doping Control Officers (DCOs) and Blood Collection Officers (BCOs) are responsible for the urine and blood sample collection from athletes as part of an anti-doping program managed by the International Testing Agency. The DCOs and BCOs may be involved in Out-of-Competition sample collection or In-Competition delivering the testing program at international events.
Currently, the ITA is only accepting expressions of interest from independent and experienced BCOs who wish to carry out testing on behalf of the ITA. Applicants may submit an application via the dedicated form to be found in the BCO section below.
Blood Collection Officers (BCOs) are professionally trained, qualified and experienced phlebotomists. BCOs are required to collect blood samples in accordance with WADA’s International Standard for Testing and Investigations (ISTI). This involves collaborating with a Doping Control Officer on testing missions to collect blood samples from athletes and ensuring the correct aftercare procedures are conducted.
