4 March 2026
As reported earlier on 19 June 2025, the athlete was notified that a sample collected from him during the 2025 Senior Asian Championships on 29 March 2025 had returned an adverse analytical finding¹ for testosterone, a non-specified prohibited substance under the Prohibited List of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). The athlete was provisionally suspended with immediate effect.²
Following the results management process conducted by the ITA on behalf of United World Wrestling (UWW), the case was submitted to CAS ADD for adjudication.
On 26 January 2026, and further to a hearing before the Single Judge during which the ITA represented UWW, CAS ADD found that the athlete had committed an ADRV for the presence and use of a prohibited substance in accordance with Articles 2.1.2 and 2.2 of the UWW anti‑doping rules. As a result, CAS ADD imposed a four‑year period of ineligibility on Tsogbadrakh Tseveensuren from 19 June 2025 to 18 June 2029. All competitive results obtained by the athlete between 29 March 2025 and 19 June 2025 were disqualified.
The athlete and the relevant stakeholders, namely UWW/ITA, WADA and the Mongolian National Anti‑Doping Agency, have a right to appeal the CAS ADD decision before the Appeals Arbitration Division of CAS.
The ITA will not comment further on this case.
¹ A report from a WADA-accredited laboratory that, consistent with the International Standard for Laboratories, establishes in a sample the presence of a prohibited substance or its metabolites or markers or evidence of the use of a prohibited method.
² The information about the Provisional Suspension was publicly disclosed by the ITA shortly after its imposition.
