CLEAN SPORT EDUCATION
The ITA managed an education booth between 23–26 January 2023 at the EYOF 2023 with a focus on youth athletes and athlete support personnel. The booth, located in Casa Italia, was hosted by ITA Education Ambassador Jernej Damjan, a former professional ski jumper who represented Slovenia at four editions of the Olympic Games.
Participants had the opportunity to ask any questions related to anti-doping including the doping control process, rules and landscape, athlete rights and responsibilities, medications and supplements.
For two days, Jernej Damjan collaborated with the Italian NADO jointly running the education booth. Nearly 140 athletes and athletes support personnel visited the booth during the five days of its operation at the Winter EYOF.
